See movie cars, muscle cars, customs, and more at the Branson Auto Museum

One of the more popular destinations for Kansas Citians is the 3 1/2 –hour drive to Branson, Mo. It really is a pretty decent place to take a quick vacation, with plenty of things to occupy every member of your family. Between Silver Dollar City, the Shepherd of the Hills, all the lakefront activities, and of course, the campy musical theatres, Branson offers quite a bit of family fun without the hassle and expense of airports and multi-day car rides.

But what do you do if you want to see cars? Truth be told, Branson is a pretty big car town. This weekend, April 16-17, is the Branson Collector Car Auction at the Branson Convention Center, one of the largest in the country. There are also several car shows and other automotive gatherings throughout the year.

The Branson Auto Museum is also a hot spot. Located on the far west end of Branson’s Highway 76 “Strip”, this year-old display resides in a former craft mall.
